Guilded Age Kickstarter

[kickstarter url=http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/philkahn/guilded-age-vol-2-and-animated-shorts width=599] Probably should do what Frigg tells ya.  Guilded Age is a pretty funny, manic adventure tale crafted by Phil Kahn and T Campbell with art from current artist John Waltrip.  This Kickstarter is to publish a second collection of the webcomic archives.  It’s a funny, well done comic from two guys who have written a number of comics previously.

Seattle Is More Like Raincoat Weather

I blame Gary for recommending another comic — this one by Strip Search Season One-er Amy T Falcone (related to James T Kirk?) and called Cardigan Weather.  Amy’s comic is a slice of life strip that is only about 33 installments deep in the archives. This one in particular may not be the first time a comic has been about the author’s love and hate relationship with comics but I liked it:

Carl Malamud: Free the Blue Book!

Boing Boing wrote up Carl Malamud’s latest project – this one to convince the law school owners of the standard for legal citation, The Bluebook, to donate it back to the public.  Here’s the broader issue of which The Bluebook is but a piece.  The LAW is a written system of rules for society — procedurally a collection of systems has evolved that we are kind of stuck with unless we collectively convince ourselves to move to something better: more efficient, more open, etc.  (Much like VOTING which in the U.S. as a reality is a kludge of systems and …
