I am sure I was channeling a lot of Bloom County when I wrote this one and who knows how many people now remember the movie Babe.
The original run of Life in Four Panels was in 2002 and I’m including below several strips on soccer that really no longer fit into the webcomic anymore. I have very fond memories of the 2002 World Cup. Because the Cup was being played in Korea and Japan all of the games were being broadcast in the United States during the middle of the night. Lo and behold I discovered TIVO and bought one in time to record all of the games overnight so I could watch before and after work the next day (It was 2002 – it was a lot easier to avoid spoilers for soccer games for a day). And then the United States went and had one of the best tournaments this country has ever had. Still can’t believe Germany got away with that hand ball…
