Save The Last Safety Dance For Me

If this specific mash-up doesn’t yet exist can someone make it for me? There was a comic in the original run with a mash-up joke in it.  I can’t stop, won’t stop!

Do Not Speak Ill Of The Elfman

Importing all of your music CDs on to your computer’s hard drive was a thing at one time — I swear!  Also that Danny Elfman guy – playing at Coachella this year.  I can just imagine the mosh pit when he plays the theme to The Simpsons.

Beat It

I hope this strip does not need me to re-introduce the English Beat to the General Public?

Culture

The brick wall in the comic is a shameless and overt lift from Charles Schulz’ Peanuts comic strip.  I used it a lot to frame these type of conversations between Scott and Curt during the comic.  As for this first one, little did I know in those early, early days of the 21st Century how much faster culture could spin.  And Pop Will Eat Itself was a pretty fun band — still around and touring.

Surfing

Looking at this one again I think there should be an audible “sigh” in the third panel.  Technology has changed a lot in the 21st century, but getting bored at work…. getting bored at work never changes.

Ties

The first of the totally crafted-in-2020 strips.  My thoughts on ties have not changed all that much.
