Hollywood’s Best

Things changes, things stay the same.  I felt like I had to update the strip since the movie titles in the original are almost 20 years old.  I changed nothing in panel one though.

Civilization

Not sure what version of Civilization I was playing in 2002, but the fact that a big part of the game is building up your armies and crushing the other civilizations en route to victory is basically the same. I did another couple of comics on Civilization later in the comic — I never got into multi-player versions of the game and wow, I am constantly amazed at how quickly technology has changed over my lifetime.  There’s probably more power in a knock-off android phone than most desktop computers that were around in 2002.

The Vast Wasteland

I am sure I was channeling a lot of Bloom County when I wrote this one and who knows how many people now remember the movie Babe. The original run of Life in Four Panels was in 2002 and I’m including below several strips on soccer that really no longer fit into the webcomic anymore.  I have very fond memories of the 2002 World Cup.
